Uses: As Eucalyptus and Rosemary both bear the same ingredient--eucalyptol--the two share a similar scent. Rosemary is mainly used in oils and lotions for muscular aches and pains, backaches, or poor circulation. It also stimulates the scalp and eases dandruff.
For aches and pains, use 4 drops Rosemary, 2 drops Lemongrass, 4 drops Nutmeg in 4 teaspoons (20 ml) of Sweet Almond oil or carrier oil.
For hair and scalp, add 5 drops Rosemary 5 drops Tea Tree to 4 teaspoons (20ml) of unfragranced shampoo and then washing hair.
To stimulate the mind, vaporize or diffuse 3 drops Rosemary and 3 drops Peppermint.
Extracted through steam distillation of flowers. Originates from France and Spain.
Caution: Rosemary is not advised for people with high blood pressure, as it is a stimulating oil. Avoid if epileptic. Do not apply to or near the face of infants or children.
